A politician promised to take out a full page ad “I am a liar” if he broke a campaign promise not to seek another office during that term. He also promised to donate to an ethics program in LA schools. Now he’s broken the campaign promise, by filing for another elected position. No ad, no donation either. Do campaign promises have any weight? http://articles.latimes.com/2012/feb/13/opinion/la-ed-trutanich-20120213
