When others count on you to lead, failure to decide is a choice – and it’s usually a bad one. Both action and inaction have consequences, but indecisiveness has the added consequence of eroding trust. – Michael Josephson.

Of course it is wise to get as much information as you can before you make an impactful decision but things happen and attitudes change while an important decision is pending. Be careful not to allow prudence and caution to justify indecisiveness. If you are a leader you are paid to make decisions. Good leaders don’t have to know everything. They do the best they can with what they know ; they monitor the consequences and adjust as needed with more decisions.
