Nine-Eleven. Two Numbers which took on new meaning on September 11, 2001. Since then, these numbers together have become a phrase that will forever be a prominent turning point event in American history. There is a natural tendency to repress painful lessons and the grief we experienced, yet we must not forget or fail to educate our children about what we learned on that day and the weeks, months and years of fear, reflection, and anger generated by acts of terrorism that were beyond our imagination. Every aspect of humanity, the qualities that make our species unique, were displayed in the attacks and our response to it. We saw brutal, mindless, fanatical evil as well as compassionate and heroic qualities that, at least for a short time, brought us together. And we found ourselves in an ongoing obsession with security, sometimes justifying conduct that demeaned or altered our sense of justice and compassion. I’ve assembled a collection of photos http://whatwillmatter.com/2015/09/nine-eleven-images/ and videos ______  that will not only remind you of what happened and how we responded but help you re-visit some of the emotions that made the event so momentous.- Michael Josephson
