This is a post from my articulate and sensitive niece, Edana Yick, to her Facebook. Well said, I think. Have any of you had similar transformations of thought?
“Weird that everything that bugged and embarrassed me most about my mom when I was a teenager are the very things I most love, admire and appreciate her for now that I’m grown. I wish I could take back every eye roll and angry word – but I know my own daughter will punish me for them soon enough with her own. All I can do is pray for a Mother’s Day like this in the future with her – in the mean time I feel very very lucky to be sandwiched in time between such an amazing mommy and daughter.”
