No abdication of the self can buy love.
Whatever status or uneasy tolerance it can buy is worth so much less than the integrity of a soul or life, it is really worthless. And it costs the most precious thing, the only valuable thing you ever have – part of your life, your time, your heart.
True love does not come by choice, money, good deeds, or worthiness. True love occurs when the other person lifts the boundaries of which the rest of the world tells you you are not good enough.
