As we head toward Thanksgiving, a holiday based on the concept of gratitude, I want to express my deep gratitude to those of you who have supported and encouraged my work for the Josephson Institute. Your letters, comments on our Facebook pages and blogs, and even the “likes” that affirm your appreciation for what we are doing — they all mean a great deal to me. I am genuinely thankful for my opportunity to share my ideas with you.
We discovered in a recent poll that about 40 percent of our readers did not know that the Josephson Institute of Ethics (including its CHARACTER COUNTS! initiative) is a nonprofit organization that depends on donations from people like you.
We have accomplished a great deal this year (see charactercounts.org) and, with your help, we hope to have an even more impactful year in 2014. Please include us in your year-end giving. Whether it’s $10 or $1,000, we promise to put every cent to work helping improve the ethical quality of society.
I will be hosting a thank-you reception for donors of $100 or more. I would love to meet you.
With heartfelt thanks,
Michael
